Central Virginia Blue Ridge
A massive winter storm dumped between 5-6 inches in sections off to the east in places like Charlottesville to an incredible 11-14 inches in sections of Nelson County on the eastern side of the Blue Ridge Parkway. Dozens of accidents happened during the storm and many people were stranded until later in the day Sunday when temps soared to near an incredible 60° with lots of thawing.
Many school systems never got back into session from last week’s winter weather and some are starting their second week with no school. On Tuesday schools in Nelson will have a two hour delay vs being completely closed.

Tommy says things generally stay on the cold side for the coming week, but not as bad as last week. There’s the chance for another winter system arriving late in the week as well.
