You knew it was bound to happen. With all of the below freezing and subzero temps experienced here in the Blue Ridge, plumbers have been in high demand. “15 voicemails just this morning,” Jon Goff told us. His dad Jeff has been a plumber here in the Blue Ridge for years and even for them the calls are huge. (Many may know Jon from our February issue cover, he’s the writer photographer for that edition)
Jon says one of the most important things to remember during the extreme cold is to leave your faucet dripping so the water can’t freeze, along with insulating your pipes.
In Tommy’s Weather the cold is expected to continue but a brief thaw is on the way Sunday when temps will reach the mid and upper 40’s with rain. Before then another winter storm is expected on Saturday.
