As expected, light snow began falling across the area on Thursday afternoon and evening. Accumulations overall are minor, but with plummeting temps, some roads did get a covering of snow and or ice. By far the greater amounts were north & west of Nelson, where we are based. The folks over at AirCare5 posted the pic above to their Facebook Page late Thursday afternoon.

The bigger story, brutally cold temps and high winds on the way for Friday and Friday Night. We warm up briefly into the weekend, then back to the deep freeze early next week.

I talk more about it in my Friday morning audio weathercast below, playing now.
