Nelson: Devils Backbone Turkey Bounce Raises Over $2100 For Nelson Pantry

DBBC Turkey Bounce1 — Blue Ridge Life™2012 - Nelson County Life©2012: Photos By Tommy Stafford - Youngsters got the chance to help raise money for the Nelson Pantry at the annual Bouncing For Turkeys held at Devils Backbone.

Earlier this week people braved the cold AND rain at Devils Backbone Brewing to help raise money for the purchase of turkeys. The Nelson Pantry uses them to help feed the less fortunate over the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays. As of a few days ago DBBC had raised over $2100 with more donations still pouring in.

DBBC Turkey Bounce4 — Rudy Strickland of Wintergreen Resort takes a break from her jumping during the 24 hour event. Rudy spent her 38th birthday jumping more than 6 hours as a way to help our and to celebrate!
