Some arrived as hippy throwbacks to the 1960’s, others as Robin Hood. And the ones less adventurous showed up in customary business or formal dress. Nonetheless, everyone had a fantastic time at the 2011 Opportunity Ball at Veritas. The events helps to raise money for The Nelson County Community Fund that issues grants to numerous Nelson non-profits. We’ve been covering the annual gala for years.
The Opportunity Ball was first held in 2004 to raise funds to help address the need for basic medical and dental care, improved housing, childcare and even food for neighbors in Nelson County. All of the funds raised through sponsorships, auctions and donations are used solely to benefit Nelson County through grants from the Nelson County Community Fund.
The ball included a 5 course meal paired with the perfect wine from Veritas!
