The Flash Flood Watch for portions of central Virginia and
northwest Virginia has been cancelled.
Scattered showers and thunderstorms are expected to move across
the region this afternoon and evening however the risk of heavy
rainfall and flash flooding has lessened.

ACROSS THE AREA. ADDITIONAL RAINFALL AMOUNTS THROUGH WEDNESDAY
EVENING WILL AVERAGE 1 TO 3 INCHES…WITH LOCALIZED AMOUNTS UP
TO 5 INCHES POSSIBLE. HEAVY RAIN MAY CONTINUE INTO THURSDAY.
* VERY HEAVY RAIN MAY CAUSE RAPID RISES IN CREEKS AND STREAMS.
