The unofficial start to summer kicked off in style across Nelson County, Virginia on Saturday with wide and varied ways to kick back and relay for the 3 day extended weekend.

A player in the 2011 Spring Slam Tennis Tourney returns the ball this past Saturday 5.28.11 at Wintergreen Resort.
Back in the courtyard at Wintergreen Resort the Blues & Brews Festival was in full swing this past Saturday afternoon 5.28.11
The Chicken Head Blues Band entertains the crowd this past Saturday at the Blues and Brews festival held at Wintergrteen Resort.
A visitor to Wintergreen Resort checks out some of the neat crafts during the Arts & Craft Showcase held on the mountain.
Down in the valley, folks had fun at the Phi Bucka Duckie Races held in the Rockfish River behind the Wintergreen Winery.
