Nelson County, Virginia
Tuesday ended on a stormy note for many in Nelson County. Just before dark a strong thunderstorm moved across Nelson County from west to east. The first reports of heavy storms came from Wintergreen Fire Department where Stuart Smith reported pea sized hail and very intense lightning, wind and very heavy rain.
Other reports of hail came from Beech Grove, but no significant damage reports came in. Severe Thunderstorm Warnings and Flash Flood Warnings were issued Tuesday evening, but again no real problems were reported.
Better weather is on deck for Wednesday through Friday with rain back in the forecast by Friday night and Saturday.
