Nelson County, Virginia
Promises of some sunshine never happened across Nelson County Tuesday. Instead low hanging clouds with periods of light snow and ice were the order of the day. Not enough to cancel schools, but pretty to look at. On the mountain at Wintergreen is where the brunt of the icing occurred as shown in the photo above that John Taylor sent us from over on Devils Knob.
Clouds will stay in place overnight, but sunshine will partially return by Wednesday afternoon with temps back in the mid 50’s to near 60° by Friday. Rain chances are back in the forecast by Thursday evening.
