Nelson County Sheriff, David Brooks, tells NCL his department and rescue crews worked the scene of a deadly ATV (all terrain vehicle) accident Tuesday afternoon and evening near Montebello. “Mr. Lyle Bradley, age 78, had gone into the woods around 4PM on his ATV to get some firewood. When he didn’t show back up, his wife called friends and family who went looking for him. Sadly, they found him along Spy Run Gap where he died from a rollover accident,” Sheriff Brooks continued.
Sheriff Brooks said Mr. Bradley was had used his ATV countless times in the past to get firewood, but this was just a freak accident that unfortunately was fatal. “He was a very good man and part of a great family in the Montebello community,” Sheriff Brooks continued.
