Nelson County, Virginia
After a bit of light snow about the area Thursday night, all eyes are watching the potential for a much larger snow sometime early next week. As of late Thursday evening the exact track of the storm is far away from being determined, but the folks over at www.accuweather.com show it, at a minimum, affecting Virginia in one form or another. Lots of things have to take place for Central Virginia to get a big snow. Primarily, the coastal low that’s expected to form will have to track close inland for Nelson and the area to get a major snow. Will we get snow? I think so, but the difference between inches and inches depends on the position of that low. We won’t know that for at least a couple more days, minimum.
I’ll be looking over new information as it becomes available this weekend with updates as need. One thing’s for sure, it’s going to be very cold over the coming days!
