We first told you about Michael Zuckerman’s plans to head for the sunset back in our August 2010 printed edition of Nelson County Life Magazine. Photographer, Hayley Osborne, took a stroll down memory lane with Michael back in the waning days of summer as he was preparing to retire from nearly 3 decades of service with Wintergreen Adaptive Sports.

A few days before Christmas 2010, friends and colleagues got together with Michael to bid him farewell after nearly 30 years on the slopes as director, helping disabled people ski. Eventually the program turned into an all encompassing one including all kinds of sports, not just skiing.
Michael says he’ll be spending lots of time snorkeling in the Caribbean and doing gardening at his house in Afton!
