Nelson County, Virginia
Rain will end later in the day Tuesday after dropping in excess of 3 inches in some locations across Nelson County since Sunday. Before the rain started most areas had received an inch or less of precipitation for the entire month. Heavy rains moved across Central Virginia prompting Flash Flood Watches in many counties. Temperatures struggled to make it out of the 60’s on Monday, but should recover nicely into the 70’s Tuesday with the return of some sunshine in the afternoon.
Another chance for rain returns Thursday, with much cooler temps by Sunday night into Monday of next week. Upper 30’s for overnight lows may happen up in the mountains by then.
