Barbara and Ed Funke, owners of MountainSide Petting Farm in Afton, have created a truly unique place. The farm is very kid friendly and allows the little ones to see all kinds of animals from the common ones to the not so common ones.

On Saturday MountainSide held a Hoe Down for kids and parents to come out and enjoy a day at the farm and meet all of the animals. Kim and Jimbo Cary were on hand to sing some of their favorite animal tunes for the kids. They sang all about snakes, and frogs, and turtles and bats and more! If you haven’t heard their CD about all of the animals, be sure to grab a copy, it’s one of the cutest things we’ve ever heard!

Didn’t make it to this past weekend’s Hoe Down. Not to worry! MountainSide Petting Farm is having a really fun Pumpkin Carving Party on October 23rd.

See you there!
