After a rainy Thursday night, look for a nice weekend ahead chocked full of events starting this Saturday morning!
The day kicks off with The Rockfish Valley Kite Flying Festival at 11AM on Glenthorne Loop near Spruce Creek. NCL is the media sponsor for this year’s event. The inaugural festival was such a hit, it made the cover of our May 2009 issue!
At the same time the really serious folks will be competing in the annual Piney River Mini Triathlon at 11AM. This is a very popular event, and lots of folks always sign up. Will be a great morning for it!
And if relaxing with a little vino is more you speed, head on over to Hill Top Berry Farm for their Spring Retreat. Enjoy mountain views and spring blossoms, rain or shine from their covered pavilion. Sample wines paired with food. Yummy!

Saturday night starting at 6:30 at the Batesville store the Central Virginia Blues Society will have it’s monthly Blues Jam/ Open Mic!!! This is a great party type event at a wonderful location!! Many famous local Blues musicians will be on hand to play your blues away!!! Come on out and enjoy a great night of blues!!!
