Nelson County, Virginia
Due to dry conditions, low humidity levels, and breezy winds, The National Weather Service has placed Nelson and much of the areas east of the BRP under a Special Advisory for an increased wildfire threat this afternoon.
Areas to the west, including the Blue Ridge Parkway and areas nearby, are under a Red Flag Warning, which means a high danger of outdoor wildfires.
