Nelson County, Virginia
Signs of spring are a bit hard to find these days, but they are definitely there! In spite of a predicted wintry mix across the area today and tonight, Ann Strober of Nellysford managed to find the silver lining to the clouds. She spotted some of the early blooms near Nellysford. Though spring doesn’t officially start until March 20th, temperatures will begin moderating a tad just beyond the extended forecast period into the first few days of March. Right now it appears some 60°+ readings are possible about a week from this Saturday & Sunday.
A major late week winter storm is developing for people living in the northeast, thankfully we will dodge that bullet, but will feel the effects of high winds associated with the nor’easter hitting places like New York City and Vermont just to name a couple.
