Nelson County, Virginia
It wasn’t much and it didn’t last very long, but it was just enough to cause a bunch of headaches Monday across Nelson County. Snow began falling Monday morning in the area and by noon most roads were covered, slick, and hazardous.

This starts the third week that Nelson County Public Schools will be closed. They were closed Monday and again today.

Cars all jammed up near the 151 / 6 intersection at Martins Store.

The good news! Snow appears to be out of here for the foreseeable future. Over the next 7 days, no mention of snow is in the forecast. Temps moderate a bit for much of the period into the 40’s for much of the extended outlook.

Most major roads are clear in Nelson, but many back roads and some secondary roads remain slick.
