Nelson County, Virginia
For the first time in what seems like an eternity, there’s no significant mention of snow in the weekend forecast, at least not the main part of the weekend! For weeks and weeks significant snows have been hitting Nelson and most of Virginia. After a mostly sunny Friday with valley temps near 40°, this holiday weekend, though chilly, looks partly to mostly sunny with afternoon temps in mid 30’s to near 40°.
After we originally wrote this post a tiny chance for light snow seems to be in the forecast now for the late night hours Friday into Saturday morning. I jinxed it! The energy for this overnight system won’t be close enough to cause any big snow, rest easy, but may give us a dusting to an inch by Saturday morning.
By next week a more significant snow is back in the forecast late Sunday night into Monday. Stay tuned on this one!
Enjoy your weekend!
