Wintergreen Resort
Nelson County, Virginia

For the 6th year in a row, Wintergreen Resort and Winter Adaptive Sports have honored Wounder Warriors at the ski resort. The weekend recognizes military members that have been injured serving the country, along with their family members. Wintergreen Adaptive Sports makes sure they can ski the slopes with specially modified gear.

According to WAS, participation has expanded now to include not only Walter Reed AMC, but also the Martinsburg and Hampton Veteran’s Hospitals, the USMC Wounded Warrior Barracks out of Camp Lejuene, and independent veterans. This year WAS sponsored twenty-one Warriors and their families.
