Wintergreen Resort
Nelson County, Virginia

The last day of 2009 started out with a mixture of sleet, snow and freezing rain here in Nelson County, but not enough to cause any major problems, or affect the best ski conditions at Wintergreen Resort in recent years. Days before Christmas a major snowstorm dumped over 2 feet of snow in Nelson County, with some locations on the mountain at Wintergreen getting 31 inches of snow.

By the final week of 2009, countless people have been streaming into Wintergreen to enjoy the upcoming New Year’s weekend and excellent ski conditions!

In addition to natural snow, the resort has been making snow along the way keeping the slopes in excellent shape for the new year.
