Near Faber
Nelson County, Virginia

In our January 2010 issue of Nelson County Life Magazine, page 25, (out now) we take a look at Serenity Ridge Retreat Center. It’s part of the Ligmincha Institute, a nonprofit organization started in 1992 by Geshe Tenzin Wangyai Rinpoche. Photographer & Videographer, Norm Shafer, who comes to us from The Virginian-Pilot takes you there in his pictures and his video. It’s a feature we have added here at NCL. Be looking for more as we move forward. Writer, Jennie Tal, tells you about Bon Buddhism, an ancient form of Tibetan Buddhism – the country’s oldest spiritual tradition. Bon, which is more than 17,000 years old, is older than Buddha himself.
