After several years of pairing the eclectic silent auction with dinner and an evening of jazz, this year attendees of the annual event were treated to a concert by nationally-known singer, songwriter and folk musician Jesse Winchester. It was a sold out crowd!
After a 3-course dinner and silent auction featuring items from The Treasure Chest, local businesses and individuals, Winchester took the stage in support of the community center’s increasing expenses. In addition to several renovation projects and keeping the building up to code, RVCC is always working on new projects. Just this year, the organization has added a playground and the first stage of a community skate park to its facilities. It is also in the final stages of purchasing the building from the county.
