Late last week another 1400 acres in what’s being called the Crawford’s Knob Preserve was officially dedicated. The ceremony took place Friday at The Founders Vision Overlook just above The Mountain Inn at Wintergreen Resort. The move adds the property to more than 4000 acres previously set aside by Wintergreen Resort and The Wintergreen Nature Foundation. Wintergreen receives $3 million plus in tax credits from Virginia for preserving the land.
The resort property is made up of 11,000 acres along and near the Blue Ridge Parkway in Nelson County, Virginia.

Does anyone know exactly where the newly added 1400 acres lies?
The 1400 acres lies at the summit of Crawford’s Knob above home developement. There is an old jeep road but otherwise unmarked. Call the Wintergreen Nature Foundation for more exact info.
