Most folks know their dad, Ivan Lendl, for his tennis career. But the Lendl sisters, Marika, Isabelle, and Daniela, have all made a name in golf.
This past Friday the trio played in Women’s Eastern Amateur Championship held at Stoney Creek Golf Course at Wintergreen Resort. Isabelle shot a 70 to come back and win the 2009 Women’s Eastern Amateur Championship! Kristina Wong, Bradenton, FL and Brittany Altomare, Shrewsbury, MA finished in a tie for 2nd.

According to WEGA’s website;
The Championship was open to female amateur golfers, with a certified handicap index of 11.5 or less and who belong to a WEGA Member Club (or have school affiliation) that has paid dues for 2009. Clubs and schools in the following states are eligible to join the Association: Connecticut, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Maine, Maryland, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, South Carolina, Vermont, Virginia, and the district of Columbia. The contestant’s club or school must be a member of the Women’s Eastern Golf Association.
