Nellysford
Nelson County, Virginia

We always knew Sherry Wheeler had great desserts, sandwiches and more at her Ambrosia Bakery & Deli in Nellysford. But, I never knew she had these yummy sausage and biscuits and ham and biscuits! (See photo for proof) Did I say I was working? That’s right work, research for this web story! Anyway, they are prepared each morning and they are yummy. Now, being a rural West Tennessee boy, I must admit I am partial to my pork sausage, however my veins aren’t! Thankfully Sherry’s sausage & biscuits are turkey! And darn good too!

Go by and try them out, we just might use your picture for research too. Remember it’s work!

  1. Goody! A new place for breakfast!

Sherry, could you put some scrambled eggs and cheese as well into one of those biscuits? Sausage, eggs, cheese, and a nice hot cup of coffee, would be heaven.

Why is it that everything I like is bad for me?

  2. Turkey sausage, huh? Now that’s new-fangled, for sure. We never thought about that in the old days. We just ate the turkey and admitted that’s what it was. “Sausage” and “ham” meant that somewhere, somebody’s pig was dead.
It’s always good news to have good food available here in Nelson. We’ll give it a try next time we go to town.

  3. Boy that sounds goooood. I have been their a few times. I make sure when I’m in town, to stop. That owner, she’s a hoot, the most friendly owner, and the bake goodies are the best. Maybe she need’s to think about mailing those goodies to the connoisseur’s of excellent goodies.

  4. Thanks for the feed back to those who provided some…but I am very curious as to who “the Musakka Traveler” is…Is that you Ma?

Thank you Tom Tom for putting me out there…Ciao around town!
