School is almost out for the summer, and youngsters from Tye River Elementary and Rockfish River Elementary School’s Head Start Programs celebrated their year end with a special series of programs on both Thursday and Friday. The head start program is under an umbrella of The Monticello Area Community Action Agency (MACAA), that servers 213 families and children.

All kinds of skits were put on for parents to see.

“Smokey the bear was scheduled to be there, Vito’s is donating some pizza, and the children did their presentations as well. Rockfish Presbyterian Church donated 40 book bags filled with school supplies for our children,” said Stephanie Martin who helped coordinate this week’s programs.
