Rumors that are circulating about two 18 year old males having been arrested in the Opal Page murder here in Nelson are untrue. NCL has received several inquiries and emails regarding this information, but have verified with Nelson County. Virginia Sheriff, David Brooks, that no such arrests have taken place. “We have been interviewing several different people as we continue to find the person(s) responsible, but absolutely no arrests have been made thus far,” Sheriff Brooks tells NCL just before noon Monday.

After a weekend of intense investigation into last week’s murder of Opal Page, Nelson County Sheriff David Brooks says the search continues this week with no stone unturned in finding those responsible for her death. ” We are following up on some new leads this week,” Sheriff Brooks tells NCL.
Over the weekend investigators went door in the area near Mrs Page’s house to see if anyone may have seen anything suspicious the day of her murder.
