Route 250 West
Near The Nelson/Albemarle County, VA Line
If you were traveling Route 250 Monday afternoon between Route 151 and I-64 you ran into the guys above. They had a huge safety inspection point setup at that location about 3 miles west of Greenwood on Route 250.
Folks stopped at the roadblock said they were checked for everything from license and registration, to inspection decals, and more. If the driver’s failed, some were pulled to the side for more inspections and/or ticketing.
Great, it takes man power & money to do this, but it’s pay now or pay way more with
“improper” drivers on road! When & where is nelson’ s ” shake down” we have a few rolling roadblocks, but it’s time to apply for “grants” for more. steve
i think its a waste of tax payers money……..and the money from the tickets arent helping the community, its cash going into someones pockets!!!! in this time of ecnomic concerns the police should leave all the hard working people alone, especially for petty stuff…..for god sakes most states have even done away with inspections…..this stae and some others need to move ahead into the twenty first century…..i mean for goodness sakes we even have a black president now!!!! thinnk about it!!!!
Well I was one of the suckers caught in that trap.I see this 2 ways.1 its one way to collect money for the county by stoppn everybody they can to weed out what little money we little people have left.god forbid we have an infraction on our vehicles.mine was a headlite.
2 the time it takes to set up and man power for them to wiggle there way to into disregarding our constitution and amendments.privacy and what ever they want.its just another way for the government and local athurities to do what they please. GO CATCH SOMEBODY THAT NEEDS TO BE CAUGHT LIKE THE PEOPLE GETTING STABBED AND ROBBED AND BEAT UP.AND RAPED.LIKE THOSE PEOPLE..LET US DRIVE IN PEACE …..
