The Wedding Singer kicked off Friday night at Nelson County High in Lovingston with tons of folks turning out to see the ever popular performance. Thanks to Tom Dennis of www.dennisphotographyonline.com for sharing some of his photos with us.

Another evening performance will be held tonight at 7:30PM, with an afternoon performance Sunday at 2PM.

The production takes you back to 1985 with rock-star wannabe Robbie Hart as New Jersey’s favorite wedding singer. Robbie is the life of the party—until his own fiancée,Linda, leaves him at the altar. Shot through the heart, Robbie makes every wedding he plays as disastrous as his own. Then we meet Julia, a winsome waitress who wins his affection. Only trouble is Julia is about to be married to a Wall Street shark, and unless Robbie can pull off the performance of the decade, the girl of his dreams will be gone forever. This new release gives us a new score that pays loving homage to the pop songs of the 1980s, and takes us back to a time when hair was big, greed was good, collars were up, and a wedding singer just might be the coolest guy in the room.
