Around 2-3 inches of snow fell Friday morning in the mountains of Nelson County. Virginia, with 1-2 inches in the valley. Our Paul Purpura grabbed some really pretty tight shots of the snow there. Most of the snow in the valley had melted by noon. Over the next few days unsettled weather will be the drill for Nelson County. Several disturbances will affect our weather with chances for showers through Monday afternoon. Though some precipitation over the weekend may mmix from time to time with snow, sleet or light freezing rain, the majority of any frozen precipitation will be confined to the higher elevations above 2000 feet.
By Tuesday of next week condition improve with temperatures warming back to the low and mid 60’s for valley highs.
