Nellysford
Nelson County, Virginia
Daylight Saving Time started off with a day of fantastic weather across Nelson County and much of the Central Virginia region. Afternoon high temps made it to the middle 80’s in the valley. Above, 5 month old Adam Stafford, (NCL Copy Editor) got some time outside on the front lawn of Basic Necessities in Nellysford, Virginia while mom and dad ate at the outside table. Keith Dix, co-owner of the cozy Nelson Restaurant looked on while he was taking a break from building a brand new fence out back.
An unusually warm air mass settled over Central Virginia for the weekend making outdoor activities the perfect fit!
The fantastic pre-summer feeling weather will continue for one more day. Rain is back in the forecast by Tuesday with cooler temperatures.
Looks for all of the weather details for the coming week over in Tommy’s Weather, updated each night by 11PM EDT.
Adam is a good loooker! I think he takes after both of you.
Great to see Adam and family enjoying a few days of surprisingly warm weather. But, don’t be fooled – there is still some great skiing on the Mountain – nothing better than Spring skiing in shorts and a tee-shirt!
No question Brian! Some of the best skiing is on those days you don’t have to bundle completely up. But not to worry, more “seasonal” temps are headed back after today. Nothing terribly cold, but much cooler for sure.
