The club’s president, Stu Harvey, says though many times they will taste Virginia wines they will often sample others from around the world. Harvey moved to Virginia around 13 years ago and started the club not long after that.

Members enjoyed a five course dinner. Each course was paired with a unique wine.

The meal itself was superb, including potato and chorizo empanada with Bodegas Olvena Cabernet Sauvignon Crianza, Spanish Country Fried Rabbit with Rentas de Fincas Rioja Reserva. Bread Pudding & Walnut Brittle with Bodegas Toro Albala Pedro Ximenez Grand Reserve 1979. A ‘reserve’ tasting showcasing wines of distinction.
