Late this afternoon, Nelson County Sheriff David Brooks said Noles had been charged in Albemarle County with two additional counts of taking indecent liberties with a minor. Noles’ bond has been revoked and he is now being held without bond in Albemarle County.

NCL’s Web Edition has confirmed that 22 year old, Richard Seely Noles of Charlottesville, was arrested by Nelson County authorities on Tuesday of this week. “He was charged with felony computer solicitation of a juvenile,” says Nelson County Sheriff David Brooks. The sheriff goes on to say that school officials became aware of the situation on Friday of last week and immediately began an aggressive investigation. On Monday the Nelson Sheriff’s Department started their investigation with the arrest the following day. “Mr. Noles is charged with soliciting a child of at least 15 years old, but less than 18,” the sheriff adds.
Wednesday night authorities served a search warrant at Noles’ home Charlottesville and took items including; 2 computers, clothes, bed linens , cell phone, one Scandisk, one digital camera, one thumb drive and four DVD’s. All of the property taken by police will be analyzed.
Noles began as track coach and alternative education teacher at Nelson County High School in August of 2008. Before that he was in the Charlottesville / Albermarle system.
He has been released on a $2,500.00 unsecured bond with and initial court appearance scheduled for March 12, 2009
