Nelson County, Virginia
While most folks here in northern and western Nelson County, Virginia anxiously await the activation of the BPL internet service that is months and months behind schedule, broadband over powerline is getting attention these days due to enormous amounts of money earmarked in the recent spending/stimulus package approved in congress. Many companies are now jockeying for a piece of the pie. We first told you about IBEC and IBM joining forces here. I would not consider Nelson county to be sparsely populated; but, geographically challenged in regards to Internet speeds.
