Near the Nelson/Albemarle Line
Afton, Virginia
Traffic was tied up briefly on Tuesday afternoon as fire and rescue crews responded to an auto accident on Route 151 near Church of the Blue Ridge & Afton Christian Church School just inside Nelson County, Virginia.

No major injuries were thought to have occurred in the accident and the roadway was cleared fairly quickly.
Note: This accident appeared near Church of the Blue Ridge and Afton Christian School, not Afton Christian Church as noted in the article. Thanks! Glad there were not major injuries.
COMPLIMENTS ON QUALITY AND UP TO THE MINUTE REPORTING. LEAVING NELSON COUNTY FOR THE “CITY” WAS NOT EASY AND THIS WEB PAGE IS COMFORTING TO MY SADNESS.
Your witness is incorrect about a vehicle trying to turn.
“L” – When we post information about accidents initially the information may or may not be absolutely 100% correct and witness accounts are almost always conflicting initially. We provide the information more so to inform the public about what was happening at the time and as always if you are concerned about the exact details of the accident you can pull the report from VSP for 100% accuracy.
I want to thank NCL for the information they provide. I work outside the county and I’m able to keep up with happenings via this site. You provide a great service to NC. Unfortunately there are people who will always find something to criticize because they see the thorn and not the rose.
Hi Janie,
Thanks for the very kind comments! We try hard to make this site what folks will want to see and a place for people to be able to comment about anything happening in the area. Thanks for stopping by!
Best,
Tommy
