Today is the final day of the long Valentine’s and President’s Day Weekend here in Nelson County. This one has been perfect! Wintergreen Resort has been able to make snow at night when the temps cooperated and the days have been beautiful with mild temperatures that made the skiing really nice. Our Paul Purpura grabbed these casual photos from the weekend. Paul, who also is a ski instructor at the resort tells us that he was giving lessons most of the weekend right on into the night. He also said: “The Snow Sports School was extremely busy with private as well as group lessons. Today’s (Sunday’s) weather was especially good and the resort was able to make snow both last night as well as Friday night,” he tells us.
Several different competitive snow sporting events took place this weekend as well, including Border Cross and other Rail Jam Events.
