Nelson County, Virginia
An approaching weather system over the next day or so will start producing high winds in our area, in particular late in the day and up on the mountainous areas of Nelson, and and west of The Blue Ridge Parkway. Either a High Wind Watch or High Wind Warning begins this evening for areas along and west of the BRP for winds sometimes gusting to as high as 60 MPH. Nelson and other areas east of the Blue Ridge may be included in the watch later Wednesday. The chance for isolated thunderstorms is in the forecast tonight as well.
