Devil’s Knob Mountain
Wintergreen
Nelson County, Virginia

After a long Winter vacation, our NCL-Wintergreen Nature Foundation Weathernet Station is back online and sending out live weather data from the mountain. The station got pretty beat up in December 2008 after a 100+ MPH wind gust coming out of the Shenandoah, over Devil’s Knob, and down into the Rockfish Valley, well….killed it.

Not to worry, it’s back up and doing it’s thing. We appreciate all of the e-mails and phone calls about the station!

Like always, you can get to the station by clicking on our handy Weather Links drop menu above under and click on Weathernet Stations.

  1. Ed, the whole time I was on the roof doing the reinstall, I couldn’t help but think of all of the great times you guys must have had back when it was started as the B & B! Hope you all are doing well. Tommy

  2. Thankyouthankyouthankyou!!!! It’s great to be able to check out conditions on the mountain. And, living in Richmond, I use it as an early warning station for when cold fronts are heading my way!
