Wintergreen Resort

For the first time in several years, skiing is in full swing at full speed up at Wintergreen Resort. The brutally cold temperatures over the past several days may not have felt very nice when you went outdoors or when your pipes froze! But, for snow making at the resort, it has been ideal over the long MLK Holiday weekend.
Our Paul Purpura, also a ski instructor at the resort, grabbed a few random shots of the crowds this weekend near the slopes. “There’s a plenty!”
Temps in the mountains are expected to continue at or below freezing for the next several days, reinforced with another cold snap on Monday with the chance for about an inch of snow in the mountains on Monday.
