5th Annual Opportunity Ball , A Ball!

Hard to believe it’s already been five years since the first Opportunity Ball! Saturday night kicked off the 5th annual event at Veritas Vineyard & Winery in Afton, Virginia. The formal gala benefits the Charlottesville Area Community Foundation which includes Nelson County. We covered last year’s event here as well.

Long before the evening kicked off in the main ball room, folks enjoyed wine and a chance to bid on silent auction items in the wine cellar.

Gentle music entertained guests in the wine cellar before the ball started.

Dr. Rich & Lynn Evans, owners of Flying Fox Vineyard, zero in on their auction item!

Folks enjoyed delicious wines provided by Veritas!

Guests mingle in the main tasting room at Veritas.

Once in the main ball room, SPLAAAT played tunes into the night!

Once seated, guests enjoyed a 5 course dinner paired with wines!

Looks like Bo Newell off in the distance. That must mean live auction! Going one, going twice, sold!
