What a way to end the season! The NCHS Governors beat the Dan River Wildcats in their last game of the year. The final score according to both our Paul Purpura at the game, and the WDBJ-7 website was 29-21 Nelson. But we do notice on the NCHS site they are showing a score of 35-34 in OT. Not sure what’s up there, but they still won either way. Congrats!
Paul tells us it was also senior night at the game. “The seniors on the football team, as well as those in the band got to walk onto the field and receive special recognition for their achievements, as well as tell those in the audience what college they were attending and what they were going to major in,” Paul says.
