The fall colors are starting to show up in the mountains of Central Virginia. In the shot above you can see some of the brilliant oranges and reds that are starting to show on some of the trees when you get into the higher elevations. This one was taken just outside the entrance of The Mountain Inn at Wintergreen Resort. We are still more than 2 weeks from peak colors, but there are some subtle changes starting to take place. The Virginia Department of Forestry says Central Virginia’s peak colors occur from roughly October 27th to November 10th.
