The driver of a motorcycle is being treated for injuries suffered from this afternoon’s wreck along Rt. 151 near Bland Wade Ln. in Afton. According to witnesses, the motorcycle was headed southbound on Rt. 151 when he locked his breaks as a motorist in front of him prepared to make a left hand turn onto his driveway. The motorcycle then hit a red Nissan pickup truck headed northbound. Skidmarks several yards long, just south of Afton Family Medical Center, could be seen on the pavement. Virginia State Police are investigating the accident as local crews direct rush hour traffic.
