Thanks to Henri Weems for today’s weather photo of the moon saying “good night” as it sets over Three Ridges to the SW of Nellysford just before daylight.
Also want to remind you about the Crutchfield Electronics Recycling Truck that will be at the Rockfish Valley Community Center on Saturday September 6th from 9 AM to 3PM. That’s the same day as the monthly pancake breakfast. You see the information on the left hand side of your screen right under the cover of our magazine, just click on that Crutchfield image to get a larger version of the information. This is a really neat way to get rid of all of those old electronics including, old televisions, radios, air conditioners, to just mention a few!
For the past several several days we’ve had those kinds of sunrises and sunsets Henri captured, as skies have stayed mostly clear with warm to hot days and mild nights. So far for the month of August we have only seen .18″ of rain here at the office n Greenfield, and other locations the same. You don’t need a weather guy to tell you that it’s become very, very dry lately.
Look for the dry weather to continue right on into the weekend. Showers return next week, hopefully, by Monday.
