Update: 2:09 PM EDT – situation is getting better with traffic being diverted and rerouted
A major accident is underway on U.S. 29 Southbound in the vicinity of Route 6 E (Irish Road). According to units on the scene, the entire southbound side is blocked with the rig on its side across the entire road.
Needless to say, traffic in the area is a complete mess and anyone traveling that area is advised to avoid the accident scene altogether. Crews say it will take a long time to clear the scene.
