This past weekend Piney River Boy Scout Tropp 32 got the chance to hike the AT. Betsy Smith of Roseland sent these photos over to us. Her husband Stuart was along for the hike.
They tell us:
This is Boy Scout Troop 32 from Piney River. This past weekend they hiked 16 miles of the Appalachian Trail. They began at the fish hatchery at Montebello and ended at Rt. 60. They were led by Scout Master Steve Crandall. Most of the boys on the hike were the younger scouts who had never done a hike this long. They learned many lessons, especially how it feels to be REALLY tired! But when asked if they’d do it again – they said, “yep!”
