Ralph Glatt, owner of Piney River Organics and Black Eagle Farm, explains how the chickens will eventually lay eggs in the highly automated facility.

The Black Eagle farm has been in the Glatt Family for over 20 years, but the farm itself dates back over 200 years. “We’re trying to promote the idea of the “traditional family farm.” The sense that we have everything. We will go into pig production as well this fall but we just can’t get everything done in one go,” says Ralph who already has hormone free sheep and cattle in a farm raised environment.
