Thanks to Ann Strober of Nellysford for today’s great weather pic! That of course is a Cardinal and a might nice pic of our very own state bird.

As I mentioned yesterday, we’re taking a break from our area music artists but be watching for more featured musicians in the coming weeks. And be looking for our NCL exclusive weather sponsor that will begin on this very cast starting over the coming weekend. They’re folks we all know, and they are about to announce an exciting expansion.

Hope you enjoyed Monday’s beautiful weather, it will be several days before we see temps that nice again and we have to deal with some rain before skies clear. Overnight rain began moving into the area and it’s pretty much going to stay around for the entire day Tuesday.

Monday was a might fine one for late winter. Temps neared the 60° mark in many locations and even reached a nice 50° on the mountain at Devil’s Knob. Tuesday will still be a fairly mild day, but it won’t feel as nice since we will have little, if any, sunshine today as the rain settles in. By tonight the rain begins to taper off and gusty winds start working in. By Wednesday the clouds begin breaking up, but it will be a blustery day with temps in the low 40’s and winds gusting to near 30 MPH at times. By next week we’re looking at some lower 60’s for afternoon highs by Monday.
