Tufted Titmouse in the Snow
Nellysford, VA
Want to send out a big thanks to Ann Strober of Nellysford again. Ann sent today’s weather photo of this Tufted Titmouse in the snow near Nellysford. Ann always sends out great pics and always has some really nice pics of birds in the area. Thanks again Ann!
Before we get off into weather want to say we’re hanging with Jeff Voglegesang again for another day or two. Robin Wynn was slated to be our local musician this week, but Robin didn’t get her music to us in time for Monday’s launch, so Jeff gets a couple of extra days! Won’t bother you in the least, he has great music, so we’ll hear some more tunes that we weren’t able to get to last week.

Sunday’s High at NCL-Wintergreen Nature Foundation on Devil’s Knob @ Wintergreen Mountain : 33° / 23°
This past weekend was a quiet one across Central Virginia and Nelson County. A few clouds moved across the area from time to time but no real weather systems had any impact. Monday will be a very nice day, one of the nicest in a couple of weeks. Sunny skies and warmer temps in the 50’s will make it feel great. By Tuesday we’ll begin to see the effects of another system headed toward Nelson. By Tuesday afternoon into the night we’ll see rain developing with pretty good chances for a widespread rain event. Later in the week rain and snow both enter the forecast.
No terribly cold temperatures are headed our way over the forecast period with daytime highs and lows near seasonal averages.
Remember to check out the latest entries on our site by looking to your left under recent posts. We have lots of neat stuff up there including recent news, restaurant specials, happenings at the local wineries and the brewery, just to mention a few!
